FFA Districts were held in Hopkins, MI on January 29, and our Veterinary Technical Sciences program had students competing. Briella Blankenship and Taylin Allen participated in Public Speaking and Hannah Negen and Kylee Thompson in Job Interview.
All four students won Silver!

As an emergency medical student, the first clinical experience can feel overwhelming, nerve-racking, intimidating, and even scary. It is the first time you step beyond the classroom and into assessing and treating real patients. However, not for Nolan Healey. Nolan's first ride-along came with a sense of familiarity, and a unique opportunity that not many students get to experience. Nolan had both his mom and dad in the ambulance beside him and he was able to learn the job first-hand from the same people who inspired him to pursue the career. The stories he had heard for years around the dinner table suddenly came to life as he checked equipment, responded to EMS calls, and witnessed his parents' calm teamwork in action.

The Allegan Advantage is a program at the Allegan Tech Center that makes dual enrollment accessible to high school students during their school day. Our partnership with Lake Michigan College helps fill the gap because we do not have a community college in the County. Learn more about it at one of our information meetings and talk with your high school counselor.

Come earn your Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) at the Allegan Tech Center! The course is built around the Tooling U-SME platform. In-person instruction will accompany the online learning, and lab time will help you apply what you learned with hands-on practice.

Our Information Technology course will be starting it's 3rd week and students are already passing tests and earning certifications! The class runs through March of 2026 with testing dates through the end of the school year. This class is at your own pace.
